Subscription Nation: August Ipsy Glam Bag
It’s August and Ipsy is inspiring people with a theme of “Good Vibes Only.” And I’m totally digging it.
The bag this month is super cute and reminiscent of a gorgeous sunset. There were three different designs and I was happy with the one that I received! “Peace, Love, Lipstick” it reads. And there’s no denying that the tassel zip pull is just life.
As every month, my items were pretty exciting (for the most part).
If you’ve been following all of my Ipsy Bag reviews, you’ll know that I received a Lisa Frank blush brush in my first bag (and that I adored it). It was Glamour Dolls brand, so I was excited to get this blending brush because I knew the quality would be good. I haven’t used it yet, but it’s super soft and cute. It has a value of $3.99.
theBalm is turning out to be a brand that I really like. I was happy to know that I got the lighter color of the two options (I’d been hoping for Kuwakaribisha). It has a little bit of a shimmer and looks just flawless on! I’d estimate the value to be about $2.75.
Another bag, another eyeliner. Luckily it’s a waterproof liquid so I’ll definitely use it. I like the brand and how this eyeliner applies, but some of the other ones I’ve received go on a little more smoothly. However, it looks great when on and that’s what matters! It has a retail value of $22.00.
This is the first mascara that I’ve received through Ipsy and I’m really impressed with the brand that I got. The container and wand are super simple, but it definitely gives volumes to my lashes. I’ve worn it all week and just love it! Even though it’s just a sample size, it is going to last me for a while. Retail value of about $7.35.
Masks? Yes, please! Face masks are an important part of my skin care routine and I love getting the chance to try new brands. They leave my skin feeling so clean and new. I haven’t tried these yet but I’m pretty sure I am going to love them. The duo has a retail value of $6.00.
Overall, I was very pleased with the bag! I liked that I can get a whole eye look done with just the items that I received this month. Everything totaled about $42, which definitely beyond the initial investment.
All I can say now is… why is next month still so far away!
