Ipsy’s theme for July is OverEasy, lazy days. Which is why it’s no surprise that they picked their mascot to be none other than the extremely adorable Gudetama! The bag this month features that cartoon character lazing around on the bag (butt-cheeks and all!).
But let’s get to the juicy part of this subscription bag – the beauty products! I’m totes excited about the contents and “prizes” that I found in mine this month!
Again, a black eyeliner (I need to mix it up!), which I know I’ve complained about getting. However, this month is slightly different than in some of my past bags – it’s a gel-kohl hybrid with a blending and smudging brush on the end. It glides on (always a plus!) and gives that perfect smudgy look. It’s travel size, so I’d give it about a value of $9 – $10 since the full-size is $18 at Sephora.
Angel Food? Yes, please! This Double Matte Whip comes in a gorgeous shade of pink – very neutral and perfect for those lazy days. It applies very creamy, but has a fun matte finish that just looks gorgeous on. Value of about $5.65.
I was pretty excited about this blush, because the color is just gorgeous. It’s also a full-sizded product! It’s infused with ginger, lychee, mangosteen, and chamomile extracts – plus it’s super natural and hypoallergenic. This blush also has a glam glow to it and can be worn as just a light, natural blush or on top of another blush for an “added pop of light” as Seraphine Botanicals’s website puts it. It has a retail value of $14.00.
Bring on the toner! I was super excited about this part of the bag because I love getting to try out new skincare products. And it’s French (like, duh, what is better than that?). It’s made for oily, blemish-prone skin which is exactly what my T-zone needs. The Cleanance MAT Mattifying Toner helps clean and mattify your complexion. Sadly, it’s just a sample size! Value is about $2.75.
I’ve been in love with tarte since I got my birthday gift at Sephora this year, so you can bet that I was all heart-eyed when I found out that this bronzer was going to be in my bag this month. This bronzer is super nice with a splash of shimmer to give that perfect summer-day vibe. It has Amazonian clay, which is supposed to be great for your skin – improves skin clarity, brightens, etc. It’s about a third of the size of the full-size, but goodness is it a lot! Value of about $10.
Overall, super impressed with this month’s goodies and the super chill, lazy day vibes that they help me get away with. It has a total value of about $42.40, which definitely pays for the initial investment. Thanks, Ipsy!
