I have been seeing this mask every where lately and it sounded interesting. I decided to give it a try. I bought the Milky Piggy carbonated clay mask by Elizavecca. The container was a bit small when I got it in the mail but honestly you don’t use a whole lot so it seems to be lasting.
First thing to note is a sticker on the side. This sticker shows you that it is a Elizavecca original product. If you buy this mask from a secondary provider like Amazon.com or Yesstyle.com this let’s you be assured of your purchase. Once you find your sticker just scratch it to get your number.
This first thing I noticed when I opened the container is the little spatula provided. This is used to scoop out the mask and smear it on your face (I honestly just used my fingers). The second thing I noticed is that the seal on the package is very tight. Even after you pull up the plastic cover and replace it, the seal holds extremely well. I think this is to keep the mask from fizzing up in the container.
And where would the fun be in it foaming in the pack? Once you open it I suggest quickly scooping it out and smearing it on your face because as soon as air hits it the mask starts fizzing. Then just let it do it’s fizzing thing until it dries. Don’t get intimidated by the fizzing. It tickles and feels cool. But your face will kind of itch when the bubbles start popping. You know that feeling when you get the carbonated fizz from a soda on your nose or lip? Well it’s like that, only all over your face. It’s super fun and makes you kind of want to pop the bubbles.
But when you touch them the bubbles turn into a sticky clay so try not to touch your face. I know it will be hard but I have faith in everyone. This sticky clay will be a little difficult to wash off afterward though. So I recommend washing it off with warm water then using a cleanser to wash the residue off.
Now, let’s get down to the best part. What does it do for your face? It’s supposed to deep clean your face but gently. The bubbles are supposed to clear out the dirty and grim from your face as they fizz up. I can say that my face feels cleaner and like a moment of AAAHHH when I use this mask. It doesn’t dry my face out or give my skin the tight feeling.
As for the price I bought it on sale so it wasn’t too expensive. I would shop around for different prices though because some sites had it for more money. If I am lucky enough to find it for cheaper again I will definitely buy it again. I highly recommend this mask. Five out of five stars. It’s fun and a great beauty find. Plus it doesn’t smell funny or just dry out your skin.
