Top 2017 Fall/Winter Trends

I feel like the summer passed by in the blink of an eye. Maybe that’s just what happens when you’re having too much fun.

Now it’s time to turn to the fall. Maybe the runways were earlier this year. But now that we’re literally a month away from the start of the season, I say it’s about time that we address the trends for this upcoming fall and winter.

Red is my power color when it comes to lipstick, so you could say that I’m more than a bit excited to see it pop into the fall and winter trend list. Not only does it make a statement, but it adds some brightness to the trending colors of the season.

Shear Beauty

What other way is there to warm up than with some comfy shearling jackets? Honestly, I could just live in one of these coats and I’d be happy. Sadly, I live in Texas and we won’t get even slightly appropriate weather for this trend for several more months.

Birds of a Feather

Maybe feathers are not my favorite trend when it comes to clothing, but I do think it makes an exceptional talking point. It’s unique and makes a statement. And when it’s done right? Then I start thinking that I might be missing out on all the fun.

Denim Galore

Top to bottom denim is where it’s at this autumn. I, for one, can’t wait for this because my love for denim has just grown immensely over the past year and a half. Plus, is it even possible to go wrong with denim?

Fringe, Fringe, Fringe!

Have I ever introduced you to my love for fringe? I’m kind of obsessed. The fall and winter season has some fantastic looks that center around this fun trend.

Sparkle On

I was going to leave it at five trends, but I just had to mention this last one. Sparkling and glittering outfits are hardly a surprise for this time of the year (they’re also always welcomed with open arms). But this trend also took over footwear this season and came out as the top shoe trend to come out of the fashion runways.

I’ve learned in the past couple of years that fall and winter fashion is actually pretty fun. I love throwing on layers of clothing, draping on the colors of the season, and enjoying the fun pieces that are released. Plus, nice and comfy furs and knits (two the trends that I didn’t address here, because they’re not a surprise).

What are some of your favorite trends of the season? Are you ready to switch from summer to fall wardrobes? Comment down below and let me know!
