My Go To Photo Editing App

Instagram filters are great, don’t get me wrong, but I need something that allows a little more customization before I can share with the world. After reading reviews from several bloggers, I found out about the PS Express app and it has honestly been one of the best things to happen to me.

As a blogger, I am constantly trying to improve not just my writing, but also my photography skills. Starting with no knowledge at all (other than finding a shot and snapping), I think that I’ve progressed pretty well.

But what has helped me out the most is having a go to app for editing photos. It’s just the little things that make the difference – cropping, messing with exposure to make the picture a bit brighter, fixing shadows, adding tint and increasing vibrance, and working with both clarity and sharpening.

Lighting is obviously one of the most important aspects of photography. And while I can try to get as much lighting as possible, I have no professional equipment. So it’s nice to have an app that can help adjust the lighting to make the picture pop and actually show up on screen when it’s too dark.

I also try to get rid of the yellow tones that like to pop up in my apartment and give my photos a bit of a tint to show a brighter background that has a little more of a pink tone to it. It’s not a huge difference, but I’ve found that it makes the photos look better.

Honestly, I don’t know how I was blogging and posting pictures on Instagram without a photo editing app in the past.
