The 30 Day Food Challenge

Swimsuit season is coming (sooner some places than others). With this season looming…coming, I have decided to take the 30 day food challenge. I hope you all try it out with me.

For 30 days-Cut (soda, sugary juices, fast food, fried food, packaged sweets, packaged snacks, white bread and pasta, fatty meats, fatty and processed foods)

Limit (salt, caffeine, and alcohol)

Get (8-10 glasses of water a day, 1 fruit or vegetable with every meal, 1 fruit or vegetable with every snack, whole grains)

Yes I am sad to see my coffee cup go but it will be worth it at the end of the month. To help me with this challenge I have also decided to follow the 10 Commandments of weight loss.

1-lifestyle not a diet

Change your life and make changes you will keep, don’t just try to change your diet

2-get organized

make an exercise and meal plan to stay on track and keep from reaching for whatever is there

3-eat small

Eat smaller portions at regular intervals throughout the day instead of three heavy meals

4-learn to leave food on your plate

Not sure I agree with this one, I hate wasting food. I would just serve smaller portions

5-never feel deprived

Eat food that keeps you full, not food that makes you hungry in a few minutes

6-make a meal out of it

Plan meals out and keep it healthy 🙂

7-eat slowly

Take your time and follow the 8th commandment, my sister told me to start using chopsticks because it makes me slow down because I am still awkward with them

8-enjoy your food

Eat food you like, don’t force yourself to eat things you hate

9-move it

Get up, get out and move it! Dance, jump rope, run, do whatever exercise you enjoy doing

10-get enough sleep

Yet another reason to catch your 8 to 7 hours of Z’s
